An original production cel and background from the Marvel/Sunbow animated series "JEM and the Holograms" (1985-1988). Featuring a fabulous image of Deirdre, the hand-painted cel and background were created and used during the animation process. The piece represents an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode titled "The Music Awards (Pt.2)" which aired on September 20, 1986. Measuring 10"x14" overall, with the cel measuring 9"x10.5", and the character image measuring 6.5"x7.5", the cel and background are in very good condition with the cel and background layers attached due to paint transfer, and staples along the top edge. Included are a pair of matching layout drawings, both in good condition with page discoloration, edge and corner wear, and peg holes throughout the corners due to studio use.
